John 6:57 āAs the living Father hath sent me, and I LIVE BY THE FATHER: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. I have heard some non-Trinitarians tell me that John 6:57 is referring to how Christās life is always dependent on the Father whether we are talking about his pre-incarnate life or His incarnate life. But is this true?
If the Holy Spirit is really a co-equal, co-eternal personal ābeingā just like the Father and the Son as Trinitarians claim, then you need to reconcile why the mention of the Holy Spirit āBeingā is conspicuously omitted in all of these following statements. Many trinitarians have used such expressions like āeternityā and āinfiniteā found in the writings of Ellen White-Spirit of Prophecy and have asserted meaning of words without properly establishing them. This article examines such expressions and will seek to establish their meaning based on their usage both in Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy. It will also assign an appropriate meaning of these expressions as it relate to Christās pre-existence and provide some valid reasons as to how these expressions can be compatible with begotten theology which believes in the literal Sonship of Christ.
