Personality of the Holy Spirit

Responding to the “three holiest being” statement.

Brother C. wrote:

“Modern non trinitarians often question the authenticity of the stenographical writings because of statements like this:

“You are born unto God, and you stand under the sanction and the power of the three holiest beings in heaven, who are able to keep you from falling.” [End Quote]

Only True God

Believing in Jesus as the only true God.

As the agitation between SDA trintiarians and SDA non/anti-trintiarians continues the following quote has become a matter of contention: “They say, ‘I was a heathen in heathen lands. You left your friends and comfortable homes and came to teach me how to find Jesus and believe in Him as the only true God.'” {11LtMs, Ms 25, 1896, par. 34}

Begotten Son

Was Made

“The Eternal Father, the unchangeable one, GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, tore from his bosom HIM WHO WAS MADE IN THE EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, and sent him down to earth to reveal how greatly he loved mankind. {RH July 9, 1895, par. 13}

Eternity

From All Eternity

I would like to take a moment to respond to Brother V’s claim that my view is “not a Biblical teaching” but instead “is based on traditional philosophy.” I take umbrage to this claim because my view is derived from Scripture. To begin with let us note what God’s Word says about “eternity” and man’s grasp of it…

Without Father, Without Mother-Examining Hebrews 7

As the matter of the begotten nature of the pre-incarnate Son of God continues to be agitated within Seventh-day Adventism some have sought to prove this an impossibility by referring to a verse in Hebrews chapter 7 about an ancient king/priest named Melchizedek…

James White, George Butler, Uriah Smith and Ellen White on the Doxology

Here recently I have been privileged to interact with a leading brother who believes in God the Father and His pre-incarnate only begotten Son. While we discussed many interesting things I noted, during our conversation, that he seemed to have a bit of disdain for the doxology. And here on facebook, just a few days ago, another brother issued this interesting response to an EGW quote that positively referenced the doxology.

Begotten Son

How Adam and Eve parallel God and His begotten Son

The picture above is an artistic depiction of the Genesis account which explains the creation of woman from a rib taken from man’s side. What I love about the sculpting is how closely Adam resembles his Maker. The lesson I am going to share today actually deals with the resemblance between man and woman and God and His Son.

God Almighty

Is Jesus the Lord God Almighty?

Is Jesus Christ the Almighty God or is He a lesser God?  The article contains very useful information, especially for the SDA anti/non-trinitarians. Just as we point out areas where our SDA trinitarian brothers and sisters are neglecting inspiration the exact same thing can be said of us.

Begotten Son

Not A Son By Creation

If there is one issue, more than any other, that stands between Seventh-day Adventists who believe in begotten theology and Seventh-day Adventists who believe in unbegottenism, it is the definition of “a Son begotten.”

Spirit of God

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and Spirit of Christ

The Biblical data completely repudiates the idea that the holy Spirit is not the Spirit of God and Spirit of Christ. While we understand from sister White that the holy Spirit is the 3rd Person of the Godhead, a conscious, distinct personality outside of the tangible forms of Father and Son, It is still the actual Spirit of God and His Son. Any doctrine that says otherwise does not pass the test of inspiration.

A Reply to Brother David Asscherick

This article was a response to a video clip of pastor David Asscherick answering a question regarding SDA’s trinity doctrine.  In the article, Jason has transcribed brother Asscherick’s quote and replies to its claims.

What is the Doctrine of the Trinity? Part 1

Approximately 2 weeks ago I received a request from one of the brothers asking for help on behalf of some of the non-trinitarian brethren. This request happened because a pastor gave them a formal letter notifying them that a church board meeting had been called to discuss church discipline against them for the following two reasons:
